I have been to London twice!

So, my worries about the train system were completely unfounded. It is so easy! I have a railcard, which my friend told me to get (seriously. It pays for itself in like, two train rides. Get one this instant!) and honestly the process of getting a railcard was harder than riding the train. I went on Trainline and looked up Canterbury to london, put in the day and time I wanted to go, and tah-dah! There are really cheap tickets and I just choose one and pay for it! I bought tickets for saturday right then to go to london intending to go on my own, but I was nervous to figure out the trains by myself. Then my roommate mentioned that we had nothing to do on thursday, so we both bought tickets for thursday (tomorrow at that time) and we took the train to london together! We walked to the train station, there there was a ticket machine and all you had to do to collect your tickets was insert the card you paid with and enter the confirmation number it emailed me when I bought the tickets. Then it printed my depart and return ticket (so don't lose it) and off I was! They had those things I have seen in movies where you have to insert your ticket into, then the doors open and it gives your ticket back, then you walk through the little doors to the platforms. The train was exactly on time, and me and my friend were off! We arrived at Charing cross station and took a tourist tour of the city, seeing 10 downing street, the houses of Parlament, the Thames, Elizabeth tower (NOT big ben), took a tour of Westminster Abbey and preyed at the shrine of Edward the Confessor, then Buckingham palace. We had a blast and I am now very comfortable when riding the train. Then yesterday me and another friend went and took the same journey and we went to The British Museum, which was MASSIVE! I didn't get to see half of it and we were there for HOURS! Then we went to Kings Cross station so I could have my Harry Potter fix by seeing platform 9 3/4. They had an official Harry Potter shop there which was cool; I did fold and bought a wand. We went to the British Library which is super close to Kings Cross station and I got to see Magna Carta! That document is so historical and amazing, I still can't believe I actually saw it. I am already counting the days until I have an excuse to go back.

Overall, London is really fun. I am also confident about the trains now; it does not intimidate me anymore which I am glad of. I can't wait to see what else I will get to do!
