Hello!
So I took a weekend trip to Edinburgh with a friend and we had such a good time!
We had to take 4 types of public transportation to get to the hotel in Edinburgh; the train to London, the tube to the airport, the plane to Edinburgh, and then the trolley to the hotel. It was sort of a baptism by fire for public transport and I think I've got it all down now. It is true that in Scotland there is always bagpipes playing from somewhere. I tried haggis, which was pretty okay but salty. We did a lot of walking and saw Edinburgh Castle and the Stone of Destiny!! I still cannot believe I got to see the Stone! I am starting to get sad that my trip is over halfway over and I am stressing about my essays, but I am doing my best to get them done; it's hard to find the motivation for reading documents when I can sleep or travel to other places! Edinburgh was really nice and sunny but cold; they sell really, REALLY nice scarves and accessories there, and me and my friend lost quite some money while there. I am so happy I got to see the Scottish Highlands. We also got tickets for a hop on, hop off bus tour which I reccommend if you are in the city for a short bit because the tickets are valid for 48 hours and drive to all the hotspots for tourists. We got to see Scottish Parliament as well; which was more modern than I thought it would be, but I found out that the Parliament was founded in the 1980s ish so I suppose that makes sense. The nature was beautiful!
